Salem Firefighters Local 2892 Regrets to announce the passing of Retired Lieutenant Richard D. John W. “Jack” Prestosz, 66, of Derry, NH died Tues. Jan. 13th at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH. Jack was born in Lawrence, MA the son of the late Helen (Piliponis) and John Prestosz. He grew up in Salem, NH graduating from Woodbury High School. He later graduated from NH Tech in Concord, NH. Jack was a Vietnam War veteran, serving in the US Navy. Jack was a retired Lieutenant with the Salem, NH Fire Department. He was a member of the International Firefighters Association and the Salem VFW Memorial Post #8546. He loved hunting and fishing in his bass boat. He was predeceased by his brother Robert Prestosz He is survived by his Wife: Judith (Cole) Prestosz of Derry, NH Daughters: Christine Prestosz of Salem, NH Deborah & her husband Matthew Majersky of CA Son: Robert & his Wife Amanda Denise of Raymond, NH Sisters: Kathleen Lenzen of Rochester, NH Janet Fyles of Manchester, NH Grandchildren: Robert Jameson Denise, Joshua Alex Denise, & Baby M. Born: July 24, 1924 in Lawrence, Massachusetts, Mr. Francis Colby Frame Francis C. Frame, 88, of Maple Street in East Andover died Friday, June 12, 2009 at the Genesis Center in Franklin. He was born in Lawrence, MA, July 24, 1920, son of Roy F. and Lena E. (Merryfield) Frame. He lived in Salem for many years and following his retirement in 1981 he moved to East Andover.

In his teens he became interested in horse racing, beginning his young career as a horseman, working at various race tracks throughout the United States.
He was a firefighter for over 20 years with the Salem Fire Department and later as an oil delivery man.

He was a U. S. Army Veteran. He was predeceased by his wife, Thelma L. (Hoehn) Frame who died February 19, 2009. His family includes, Six stepsons: Brian O’Neil of Nashua Michael O’Neil of Milford Kevin O’Neil of Bedford John O’Neil of Dunbarton James O’Neil of Pembroke Richard O’Neil of Pueblo, CO Stepdaughter: Colleen Yanuszewski of Center Sandwich Numerous step grand and great-grandchildren

Calling hours will be held Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home, Franklin-Tilton Road in Tilton.

Burial with military honors will be in the New Hampshire State Veteran’s Cemetery in Boscawen along with his wife Thelma.
