To All Current and Retired Local IAFF 2892 Members, Families and Friends;
The Executive Board is once again putting out a call for help to all current and retired members, as well as their families and friends who are registered voters in Salem. We are asking for as many voters as possible to TURN OUT AND VOTE ON THIS TUESDAY MARCH 9TH TO APPROVE THE TOWN OPERATING BUDGET AS AMMENDED AT THE 1ST DELIBERATIVE SESSION.
If the budget is not passed at the Voting Booth On Tuesday March 9th, the Town Operating Budget will then be created on Saturday March 13th at the Town Meeting 2nd Deliberative Session.
It is the fear of this Executive Board if the Town Operating Budget is not passed at the Voting Booth on Tuesday March 9th then a very small number of voters will decide the Town Operating Budget on the floor at Town meeting on Saturday March 13th. This Local could potentially face an unprecedented hardship not felt since the early 1990s.
Again we call on EVERYONE who is a registered voter to TURN OUT and APPROVE THE OPERATING BUDGET THIS TUESDAY MARCH 9TH.
